Kamala Nehru College for women was started on 20th October 1964. The college was inaugurated by the Ex-Prime Minister of India Lt Smt Indira Gandhi. It is also known as the Govt. College for Women. It is located in Defence Colony. Initially, it offers courses in Humanities but after sometime college offering commerce stream also.
When the college was started it only has 16 staff member & 209 students passed out in batch in 1968.
